Caravan & Residential Parks Victoria (CRPVic) is encouraging Victorians to turn day trips into regional tourist park getaways, as the State Government supports bringing free live music to towns across Victoria through the Victorian Vibes.
Kicking off in Ballarat on 18 April, the Victorian Vibes series will deliver pop-up performances across regional Victoria every second weekend through to late June. The program spans key tourism regions including Gippsland, the Bellarine, the Murray, the Goldfields and the Great Ocean Road.
The series presents a significant opportunity to support regional communities by driving visitation and encouraging overnight and extended stays. Tourist parks play a central role in maximising this benefit, providing accessible and well-located accommodation options for visitors travelling to events across the state.
Tourist parks account for a substantial share of regional overnight stays and continue to be the backbone of regional accommodation. Their affordability and flexibility make them well suited to families and travellers looking to extend their visit, explore local destinations, or simply enjoy a relaxed stay close to the event location.
CRPVic is encouraging visitors to take advantage of the Victorian Vibes series by planning overnight trips or short stays in regional Victoria. From coastal escapes along the Great Ocean Road to weekends in the Goldfields, tourist parks provide a convenient base to experience both the events and the broader attractions of each region.
Staying in a tourist park not only enhances the visitor experience but also directly supports local jobs, local businesses and regional economies.
