Board of Directors

Caravan & Residential Parks Victoria is the trading name of the Victorian Caravan Parks Association Inc., an industry peak body governed by a Board (formerly known as the Committee of Management), responsible for developing policy and driving the association’s strategic direction. The Board meets a minimum of eight times a year.

Together with the CEO, the Chair and Vice-Chair make up the Executive. Board representation is diverse, comprising tourist and mixed-use park owners and those with daily exposure to the residential land lease sector.

Chair

Sam Cohen joined Serenitas in 2023 as their Southern Regional Manager and has been involved in business operations, customer experience and service delivery and commercial management for over 30 years.

He supports Serenitas in the ongoing expansion of their residential parks business across Victoria, SA, WA, Tasmania and NSW. Prior to joining Serenitas, Sam was General Manager at AVA Communities, Operations Manager (Residential Parks) at Stockland for nearly three years, and Head of Operations for Lifestyle Communities for nearly nine years.

After six years as Committee Vice Chair, Sam was voted Chair in 2024.

Vice Chair

Tim Curtis is Senior Regional Operations Manager for Discovery Holiday Parks.

With his background in operations and systems, he joined Discovery after 15 years with RMS, playing a critical role in the development of their IT management systems and business intelligence platforms.

More recently, he moved into the operations team and manages 30 tourist parks across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, specialising in the integration of new property acquisitions into the Discovery business.

Tim was elected onto the Caravan and Residential Parks Victoria Board in 2023 and voted Vice Chair in 2024.

Board Directors

Corrine Davis is a second-generation parkie, having grown up at fabulous Amberlee. After moving away to study Human Resource Management, Public Relations and Sociology, she ultimately found herself drawn back to the family business and the parkie way of life.

She brings a strong mix of operator experience, formal education and ongoing professional growth to the association’s board, a mix that allows her to honor our heritage while bringing a knowledgeable, forward-thinking perspective to future discussions and decision making.

Corrine was elected onto the Caravan and Residential Parks Victoria Board in November 2025.

Claire Height has over 35 years’ experience in finance, investment, hospitality, and tourism. She began her career at Merrill Lynch Australia before moving into small business ownership, and for the past 17 years has owned and managed the wonderful BIG4 Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park.

With expertise in marketing, human resources, and financial management, combined with a strong understanding of tourism trends and guest needs, Claire is recognised as a leader in regional tourism.

Claire was elected onto the Caravan and Residential Parks Victoria Board in November 2025.

Rod Hearn was the association’s inaugural General Manager – Residential before joining Tetris Capital as Land Lease Director in 2025. Appointed to the board in January 2026, he brings more than 40 years leadership experience across the land lease community and broader tourism sector.

Rod played a key role several major hotel brands, including Rydges, Radisson and Westin, before moving into the land lease sector, leading the transformation of 48 parks into residential communities at Gateway Lifestyle.

Rod has a strong understanding of the sector’s regulatory frameworks and significant practical experience in negotiating with government bodies to effectively advocate for those businesses he has acted for.  

Josh Hellings is a second generation leader at Park Lane Holiday Parks which operates six properties in Victoria, encompassing residential, tourism and mixed use caravan parks.

Before joining the family business in 2012, Josh completed his Bachelor of Business and Commerce with Honours, then moved into several Accounting and Finance roles. While Josh is involved in many aspects of the business, he has a focus on finance, strategy and projects.

Josh has served on the Caravan and Residential Parks Victoria Board since 2017.

Chris Paranthoiene joined Lifestyle Communities in February 2007 having previously worked in finance after completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne.

Chris’s role and responsibilities include land acquisition, feasibility analysis, planning and project delivery. He has developed a large network of property contacts throughout Melbourne and he has a diligent approach to land procurement and development.

Chris was appointed to the Caravan and Residential Parks Victoria Board in 2025, then elected at the 2025 AGM.
